Celebrating OPPO’s 15th Anniversary:
Letters O & P
OPPO entrusted me with a uniquely challenging yet creatively rewarding mission: to uncover their brand letters, O & P, within the charming landscapes of Germany, as part of their momentous 15th Anniversary celebration. Tasked with infusing each photograph with the essence of both the brand’s identity and the rich cultural tapestry of Germany, I embarked on a journey of exploration and discovery.
In my quest for suitable photo locations, I delved deep into the heart of German heritage, drawing inspiration from the picturesque settings that define the country’s architectural landscape. Fueled by the spirit of innovation, I devised a clever approach to incorporate the brand letters seamlessly into each composition. The magnifying glass, symbolizing the letter “O,” served as a tool to zoom in on the intricate details of traditional German half-timber houses, capturing the essence of age-old craftsmanship and authenticity. Moving forward, I embraced the vibrant spirit of Bavaria, juxtaposing a quintessential Bavarian sausage against the towering backdrop of a TV Tower to form the first “P” for the brand. Each photograph was carefully curated to encapsulate the distinct cultural nuances of Germany while celebrating OPPO’s legacy of innovation and excellence.
Finding Patterns around us
Building upon the resounding success of the previous series, OPPO extended the creative collaboration, entrusting me with the task of crafting captivating photography yet again, this time focusing on capturing intricate patterns using their flagship phone.
In response to OPPO’s request, I embarked on a visual exploration of Singapore and Malaysia, seeking out captivating patterns and repeating motifs within the public spaces of these vibrant cities. From the vibrant hues of the Old Hill Police Station’s windows in Singapore to the mesmerizing escalator design in Kuala Lumpur and the captivating architectural details found within art installations, each location offered a wealth of inspiration for capturing patterns that would intrigue and captivate viewers.
